Jane Austen II

Another Jane Austen doll for the lovely B.!
This time, inspired by a painting that it's still being discussed if it really is Jane Austen or not (austenonly.files.wordpress.com…, but it's a lovely painting and it translated into doll form beautifully, imho.

Her gown is very simple. Besides the obvious purple ribbon belt, I gave her a ruched organza layer on the neckline and a yellow underskirt.
My first closed parasol! Quick and cute. One day I'll figure out a way of making a functional parasol, but not yet.
And, although no one else but me would see a reason for it, I'm in love with her necklace. I was messing around with beads and failing miserably, so I tried something inspired by a piece of stump embroidery I once saw and it worked!
