I took on the project of recreating Henry VIII and his six wives a long time ago, after a lot of procrastination.
This set is one that is particularly close to my heart.
I could see my skills growing with each completed doll and I learned so much about Tudor History and fashion while researching for them.
Some are long gone to new owners and others have since been surpassed in detail and skill by their more recent versions, but these 8 will always be my Tudor babies.
From left to right: (my first) Katherine of Aragon, (my first) Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, (my first) Henry, Anne of Cléves, Katherine Howard, Katherine Parr.
And, because the set wouldn't be complete without him, the french executioner, with a sword for Anne and an axe for Kitty Howard.
One big, happy family.
